Magic Coast Field Trip
The Oregon Coast is pure magic. Visit three magical beaches to find the “coastal stonehenge” and the gnomes that live there, see the other-worldly wizard’s house, and experience the ghost forest that only appears during a minus tide.
In between we’ll stop for coffee and a slow food lunch. The first and third hikes are short and easy leg stretchers; the optional after lunch hike is approximately four miles of beach walking out and back. We’ll allow plenty of time for a leisurely walk and include time to observe the harbor seals that like to haul out at the end of the spit. There’s also an opportunity for horseback riding in lieu of the afternoon beach hike (depending on availability; must book in advance).
